Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy a product through one of them, the retailer may pay us a small commission. The price you pay does not change.
What it does not change
- We recommend products because they solve the problem, not because of the commission.
- A commission never decides whether a method or product appears in a guide.
- Where a cheap household alternative works as well, we say so — often before mentioning any product at all.
Advertising and sponsored content
Display advertising is served by third-party networks and is clearly separate from editorial content. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled as sponsored at the top of the article. We do not accept payment to insert links into existing guides.
